History

The company started on 5th March 1969 making it one of the longest established plastics companies in the United Kingdom. Sidney Kibble and Arthur Reeve got it all underway using the initial letters from both their names to form the company’s unusual name.

The organisation they started continues in a tradition of expansion through innovation and acquisition and going from a small starter unit of less than 1,000 sq ft to the modern suite of premises covering a site of almost two acres with around 40,000 sq ft under cover.

For many years, under the original regime, the growth of the company was achieved organically and while not dynamic it was steady and always secure and balanced. In more recent times, expansion has been by merger and acquisition of companies like Baker Plastics of Basildon in 1999, High Heat Mouldings and Tooling of Colchester 2003, Chelmer Plastics of Chelmsford in 2005 and most recently in 2007, Tangent Plastics of Tiptree, Essex.
